Eligibility
Generalist Officers require graduation or post-graduation in any stream with at least 60% marks, or 55% for SC/ST/PwBD candidates. Specialist eligibility varies by discipline: Finance requires CA/CMA plus a degree, Legal requires a law degree, IT requires BE/BTech/ME/MTech in Computer Science/IT or MCA, and Automobile, Risk, Company Secretary and Agriculture posts require the relevant qualifications described in the notification.
The qualification cut-off is 01 October 2026. Candidates should read the official notification for exact discipline-wise qualifications, percentage calculation, reservation and relaxation conditions.
Age Limit
The age limit is 21 to 30 years as on 01 October 2026. The base date-of-birth window is 02 October 1996 to 01 October 2005, both dates inclusive. Upper-age relaxation is available as per the notification, including 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC (NCL), and applicable PwBD, ex-servicemen, defence-service and existing public-sector general-insurance employee relaxations.
Salary / Emoluments
- Starting basic pay: ₹82,485.
- Pay scale: ₹82,485-4,050(14)-1,39,185-4,390(4)-1,56,745.
- Approximate emoluments: ₹1.14 lakh per month in Metropolitan Centres.
Other benefits are available according to company rules. The approximate emoluments figure should not be confused with the starting basic pay.

Payment is online from 08 October to 28 October 2026. Bank transaction charges, if applicable, are borne by the candidate. The fee is non-refundable.
Selection Process
- Phase I Preliminary Online Examination: 100 marks in 60 minutes covering English Language, Reasoning Ability and Quantitative Aptitude.
- Phase II Main Online Examination: objective test of 250 marks. Specialists also take the relevant technical/professional knowledge test.
- Descriptive English Test: 30 marks and 30 minutes, qualifying in nature, covering essay, précis and comprehension.
- Interview.
Final selection gives 80% weightage to the Main Examination Objective Test and 20% to the Interview. Objective tests carry negative marking of one-fourth of the marks assigned to a question for each wrong answer.
