Eligibility
Candidates must hold the relevant recognised postgraduate medical qualification and valid registration under the Assam Council of Medical Registration or the Medical Council of India / National Medical Commission, as applicable.
For broad speciality posts, the relevant MD, MS, DNB or MDS qualification in the concerned subject is required. The listed departments include Anaesthesiology, Dentistry, Dermatology, ENT, Emergency Medicine, Forensic Medicine, Medicine, Microbiology, Orthopaedics, Ophthalmology, Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Pharmacology, Pathology, Psychiatry, Paediatrics, PM&R, Radiology, Radiotherapy / Radiation Oncology, Surgery, Community Medicine, Pulmonary Medicine and Nuclear Medicine.
For Anatomy, Biochemistry and Physiology, the specified MD or relevant MSc qualification with the applicable PhD requirement may be accepted under current NMC rules. Medical super-speciality departments generally require MD / DNB in General Medicine, while surgical super-speciality departments generally require MS / DNB in General Surgery. DM, MCh or DNB in the concerned super-speciality may receive preference or weightage as stated in the advertisement.
Age Limit
- Minimum age: 21 years.
- Maximum age: 45 years.
- Age reckoning date: 1 January 2026.
- PwD relaxation: 10 years, where applicable.
Salary
- Pay scale: ₹57,700–₹1,82,400 per month.
- Academic Level: Level 10.
- Other allowances: As admissible under Government rules.
