The Central Power Research Institute (CPRI), Ministry of Power, Government of India, has invited online applications under Advertisement CPRI/06/2026 for 110 posts across engineering, technical, scientific, administrative and support roles. Eligibility and Age Limit

Qualifications and upper-age limits vary by post:

• Engineering Officer Gr.1: First Class Electrical/Electrical & Electronics or Civil Engineering degree, valid GATE score from 2024, 2025 or 2026 in the relevant paper; upper age 30 years.
• Engineering Assistant: First Class three-year Electrical or Mechanical diploma with five years of relevant experience; upper age 35 years.
• Scientific Assistant: First Class B.Sc. in Chemistry with five years of relevant experience; upper age 35 years.
• Technician Gr.1: ITI Trade Certificate in Electrical or Mechanical; upper age 28 years.
• Technical Attendant Gr.1: Matriculation; a two-year Electrical/Mechanical ITI certificate is desirable; upper age 30 years.
• Assistant Gr. II: First Class BA, B.Sc., B.Com, BBA, BBM or BCA degree and NIELIT Grade-B Basic Computer Course certificate held by the closing date; upper age 30 years.
• MTS Gr.1: Matriculation; all 14 posts are reserved for Ex-servicemen; upper age 25 years.

The minimum age is 18 years. Upper-age relaxation applies as per Government of India norms. Candidates should read the official notification for complete reservation, experience and post-specific eligibility rules.

Pay Scale

Selection Process

• Engineering Officer Gr.1: Selection based on GATE score.
• Engineering Assistant / Scientific Assistant: CBT followed by a post-specific practical skill test.
• Technician Gr.1: CBT followed by a qualifying Trade Test.
• Technical Attendant Gr.1 / Assistant Gr. II: CBT.
• MTS Gr.1: CBT followed by a Trade/Proficiency Test.

Application Fee

• Engineering Officer Gr.1, Scientific Assistant and Engineering Assistant: ₹1,000 per post.
• Technician Gr.1, Assistant Gr. II and Technical Attendant Gr.1: ₹700 per post.
• SC, ST, PwBD, Ex-servicemen and women candidates are exempt.
• The supplied fee table does not specify an MTS Gr.1 fee. Candidates should check the official notification for the post-specific fee before applying.
