Paper I (Classes I–V): Senior Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 50% marks and a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education / B.El.Ed. / equivalent, as specified in the official notification. Paper II (Classes VI–VIII): Graduation with the relevant teacher education qualification (B.Ed. / B.El.Ed. / equivalent) as per the official CTET notification. Candidates appearing in the final year of the qualifying course may also apply as per the notification.
There is no upper age limit prescribed for appearing in the CTET; candidates must meet the educational qualifications laid down in the official notification.
